Pat Schaufele and her husband Otto came as missionaries to our church, and they ministered in many ways over a long period of 15 years. We are deeply grateful for Pat’s service that was full of love.
We were saddened to hear news from the U.S. just before worship on October 5, through Sheila Breithaupt (who was also a missionary to IBF), that Pat had passed away. As a church, IBF grieves together and are praying for God’s comfort and help to be upon the family she leaves behind.
Pat taught Sunday School and English conversation at our church. She also volunteered as an English teacher at local elementary schools.
We believe she is now reunited with Otto in heaven, and that the Lord Jesus has welcomed her with the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
