Pastor Shoichi Ino (IBF Senior Pastor)
The church started 40 years ago with a few people in a small house in Minami-Nagareyama, but it has expanded with the help of many missionaries affiliated with the Japan Evangelical Covenant Churches.
There was a time our church’s missionaries from the United States volunteered as English conversation teachers at a local elementary school. Although our ministries have changed, we are still very much an international church.
We use both Japanese and English songs in our worship services. Friday worship services are generally conducted in Japanese, but on Sundays we have bilingual worship services in English and Japanese.
Not only Japanese people but also people from Africa, Asia, Europe, and America gather here. We aim to share the joy of worship in an international environment. We hope to serve God and people more and more as an international church.
Please come to our meetings and activities. We welcome you from the bottom of our hearts.

Missionary See Huang Lim
I am a native English speaker from Malaysia. I graduated with a Master’s degree in English from Abilene Christian University, Texas, United States. In America, I taught English as a Second Language (ESL) to Japanese students. When I returned to my home country of Malaysia, I taught Japanese housewives and businessmen English.
I enjoy cooking and vegetable gardening. I have been studying Japanese for many years, and while I am able to converse on everyday subjects, I would like to better improve my Japanese.
Pastor Kitazawa (Japan Evangelical Covenant Church, Assisting Pastor)
When I think of journeying with all of you, I feel a deep sense of joy. The Bible has plenty of evidence that we should consider Jesus Christ as our Savior anad Lord. One of my roles here is to convey this message to you. I look forward to meeting with you. On a personal level, my favorite hobby is spending time with my wife.
Pastor Miyamoto (Japan Evangelical Covenant Church, Missionary)
